Have you ever taken a boat tour through Giethoorn? From our tour boat you can enjoy the view of the fairytale houses with thatched roofs as you slowly sail through the village canal of Giethoorn. sail. The smallest boat tour through the village takes about 60 minutes, depending on how busy it is. During those 60 minutes you will sail through narrow canals, under bridges and via the shallow lake back to the boarding point. During the cruise, our skippers will take you through the history of Giethoorn. Our tour boat can accommodate a total of 50 people. If you want to tour Giethoorn with your own group and there are no more than 6 people, you could also book the Private cruise through Giethoorn.
How does it work?
If you buy a day ticket, you can join the boat tour whenever it suits you. Pick a day in your calendar and come to Giethoorn. No rushing and stress to arrive on time, but be taken on a boat tour whenever it suits you. A day ticket is valid for 1 boat tour in Giethoorn! Tip: just check in advance what our regular departure times are.
Boat trip of 1 or 2 hours
Our tour boats are all covered, so you are always dry and out of the sun. When the weather is nice, the windows open and you can fully enjoy all the beauty that Giethoorn has to offer. On cold days there is a nice fleece blanket on board. Various boat trips are possible. For example, you can take a 1-hour boat trip through the village and more, or a 2-hour boat trip that also goes through a nature reserve.
Fixed departure times
The boat cruises have fixed departure times and are for both groups (reservations required) and for individual tourists. Individual boarding and ticket sales are only possible at the box office if there are still seats available! If your party is too large for the maximum number of people per boat, a second boat, number 3 or 4, can be arranged; this is arranged automatically by us.
